Sculpture artist Wing Yau founded her Brooklyn studio, WWAKE, in 2011 as an experiment in wearable fiber sculptures, and has since evolved to incorporate fine metals and precious stones. While Yau’s designs are, at first glance, feminine and delicate, they are meant to be combined and stacked in ways that often produce surprisingly strong feeling, architectural compositions.
