Durham Central Park is a 5-acre, city-owned park along Foster Street in the heart of downtown Durham. Over the park’s 25-year history, it has become a place to enjoy local food, music, art, and most importantly, to PLAY.
The non-profit Durham Central Park, Inc. manages, develops, and sustains this invaluable community asset. Before the Park was established, it was part of the faded tobacco warehouse district. In the early 90s, community leaders led an effort to create a new vision for the district, which included an urban park that would be a catalyst for the neighborhood and a space to serve the whole city.
By partnering with the community and the city, we have transformed the land into a beautiful, accessible, and comfortable Park that is welcoming to all.
We are thrilled that Vert & Vogue features the DCP skate park in their Spring lookbook!
This year, DCP will be presenting a summer concert series, food truck rodeos, yoga, tai chi, movies in the Park, and much more. Visit durhamcentralpark.org to learn about our programming, facilities, and history.
See you at the Park!
